Science and industry tours are given by businesses to local students. The business will designate their preferences regarding grade level and number of students. The schools are individually responsible for arranging transportation to and from the tour locations.
The BEA offers students at local schools an opportunity to tour local manufacturing and industrial facilities. By providing an opportunity for students to see a product developed from start to finish, it is our goal to spark an interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Visiting a business/industry facility can help students make the link between the classroom and their future world.
Science and industry tours can also be arranged for educators. When teachers and administrators become more familiar with various industries, they can become strong advocates for the industries and can educate students on the opportunities in their local community.
